Scenario
After being released from prison, mob capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is deported to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unlikely characters. Sylvester Stallone’s first lead role in a television series. Dwight & #x27;General' Manfredi: I don’t really go to church.
I don’t think any other actor could play this role
The opening credit sequence shows various photographic and painted views as well as Oklahoma landmarks superimposed on the New York landscape: the Sioux Indian chief “Touch the Clouds” statue; wearing War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate) placed on top of Brooklyn BridgeGolden Driller Statue placed on Statue of LibertyRoute 66 Western Gateway Arch placed on Major Manhattan “Avenue”. In New York, in the Manhattan district, there are several numbered “Avenues”; which are interspersed with smaller numbered streets… Featured on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #45.7 (2022). Sly is bigger than the small screen and he gave the best lines in this show.
His supporting cast is no-name, I don’t recognize other actors
I’ve only seen the 1st episode on YT, I don’t have Paramount, but if there were more to come out on YT, I’d definitely watch it. And filming in Tulsa gives the show "flavor" vs filming on the Hollywood background. I think Stallone hit his peak with the Creed movies and this TV show.
Age is doing him good
