The DC Studios logo is set in a rainy Gotham alley
Scenario
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, is playing a game to take over the criminal underworld of Gotham. Aside from a bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman? Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin in The Batman (2022), but failed. For his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user who prefers cigars.

logo. Featured in Graham Norton and others: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Batman, in my opinion, simply had the best depiction of Gotham City in a film. The setting was disgustingly dank and visually everything you’d want to see, as it’s called.
This series fully accelerates those aspects and follows up on the film perfectly
A big part of it was his mafia underworld, where Oswald aka Penguin was starting to take control. I can’t say enough about Colin Farrell’s performance in this, and honestly, it might be his magnum opus. The guy gives the character his rawest and most gutsy feel, and it’s done so well that it resonates. Even without Batman, his intrigue is so strong that you don’t even notice.
I can overlook that, though
The other supporting characters are pretty well-crafted, although some of the casting choices seem a little off to some. This series continues to build out this Batman universe perfectly, and I can’t wait to see where they go from here. One of the best series of the last decade. Give Colin Farrell all the accolades he deserves for this role.
