The subtitle of the film "Folie a Deux" means “Madness of two”; in French
Scenario
Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, in prison at Arkham State Hospital. . In addition, Gaga talks about how she got into her dark character and how she stayed in it. This initially led to speculation that Harley Quinn would appear in the film, which was confirmed shortly after. The name Folie a Deux comes from the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret.

The term was coined to refer to two or more people who share the same madness or delusion. Jury president talks about “People of New York”; instead of Gotham City. This is because the State of New York is the plaintiff in the criminal trial, and this version of Gotham City is evidently located in New York State (most versions place Gotham in New Jersey). The film opens with the Looney Tunes title sequence, with the Warner Bros logo surrounded by rings and the Joker’s face.

Merry We Roll Along Written by Eddie Cantor, Murray Mencher and Charles Tobias. I really wanted this to be a good movie but…, but I have to be honest, this one just didn’t sit well with me. My actual rating would probably be around a 4 or 5, but I’m giving it a 6 because I know this movie will get a lot of downvotes and it has some merit. First of all, it felt like a musical promoting a "new album" than the dark psychological thriller I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, Gaga is talented and her performance was solid, but the over-the-top musical numbers really ruined the mood.
Unbelievable, I even saw some people fall asleep during the movie!
This is not the kind of movie where I want to be dragged into a Broadway show in the middle of the story. It just ruins the atmosphere and tension that worked so well in the first Joker movie. One thing I have never seen before: so many people left the cinema before the end of the movie. The pace dragged and it lacked the intense energy that kept the original Joker engaging from start to finish. On the plus side, the cinematography was beautiful and Joaquin Phoenix is still excellent as Arthur Fleck.
The acting was there, no doubt about it
But even with these strong elements, something didn’t work. The movie felt too long and towards the end I felt like it lost direction. Ultimately, Joker: Folie à Deux had its moments, but the musical direction and uneven pacing left me reeling.
